Our History

Assured Assisted Living, LLC was founded in 2005 by the wife and husband team: Sheryl A. Thompson, R.N., President and CEO and John A. Thompson, Vice-President. Their professional experiences with seniors include being the founders and managing members of Assured Horizons Eldercare and Assured Horizons, LLC which was the largest company offering 14 residential care facilities for Alzheimer’s and medically frail seniors in Orange County, California from 1995-2004. Their passion and dedication to providing assisted living services for individuals with Memory Loss was in response to not being able to find the high quality, nursing home alternative that specialized in Memory loss for Sheryl’s own father who had been diagnosed with memory loss in 1994. Prior to opening the first Assisted Living Care Facility in 1995, Sheryl Thompson, RN was a Supervisor and R.N. First Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery at several prominent Cardiac Centers in Oregon and California and John Thompson was a Garden Grove Police Officer and Administrative Supervisor of Protective Services at Hughes Aircraft Co.

In 2017 Mr. and Mrs. Thompson decided now was the time to start retirement. After twenty-five years in business they wanted to enjoy time with their grand-kids, traveling and family. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson put in a through search of operators to ensure the ones taking ownership would continue the wonderful legacy created. The Thompson’s main importance was ensuring the next operators would share their passion for connecting with residents, families, caregivers and the community. In a letter to the residents and their families Mrs. Thompson state the following: “We have valued our relationships with our residents, their families, caregivers, and community and have only considered prospective operators who also share this philosophy. We are pleased to let you know that we have found such operators. Their names are Francis LeGasse Jr and Brian Turner. Francis and Brian are highly respected and considered some of the best up and coming senior care experts in the Denver/Castle Rock area. They opened a home care agency in the summer of 2010 and have currently served more than 700 clients. Sevens Home Care is considered by many caseworkers to be the premier agency for in-home needs. In 2015, they opened Sevens Residential Memory Care, their first residential care home in Lakewood, Colorado.”

Mr. LeGasse and Mr. Turner acknowledge the importance of such an incredible endorsement from an expert in the field of senior care and our prepared to honor this acknowledgement.
