Questions to Ask An Assisted Living Home

Peter Brissette • January 8, 2021

Welcome to the show! Today's guest is a market leader who is here to share some invaluable knowledge that you just can't get anywhere else. Let's face it when you need some help and you're looking for the right professional you really need to know what questions to ask.s Today's expert will give you some great insight to help you make the best decision in no time.

Francis: I'm Francis Legasse, a certified dementia practitioner with Assured Assisted Living. I'm often asked, how do you go about finding the right assisted living? The problem is that finding the right assisted living can feel overwhelming and the good news is that it doesn't have to be difficult if you know what questions to ask. Searching for a great assisted living to suit you or your loved one’s needs can be challenging. Finding an assisted living that puts you or your loved ones first, makes it a home, and provide exceptional care can feel like a tough search. I'd like to give you a few tips in order to find a great assisted living.

Tip 1: Find out what their Area of Expertise is. You really want to make sure they are able to meet you, or your loved one’s level of care while making it a home. Talk to the staff and get a sense of how long they've been there.

Tip 2: Are they personable? Does the staff care? And are they able to help when you or your loved one need it most? Ask the staff why they do what they do. You'll feel much better about your decision if you find an assisted living that has approachable and caring staff.

Tip 3: Are they up on the latest techniques in person-centered care? You want to make sure they are professional and put you or your loved ones first. It is important to have a sense of purpose throughout your day, because in the end you are the most important resident. Our expertise is providing a staff ratio of one caregiver to every four residents, because in the end our residents need to have proactive care and shouldn't have to wait. We do this in a home environment where our residents are able to strive and have a sense of purpose. We believe it is a four-part approach of nutrition, engagement, environment, and care. We focus on helping residents reach their daily potential and engagement.

For those that want to learn more they can simply go to assuredassistedliving.com so they can learn about our exceptional care and our new techniques. Or they can call us at 303-814-2688. We are always here to help, because our residents are the key to our success, and we want to create hope for the way they age.

Pretty interesting, isn't it? Now you have all the information you need to find the right professional and make an informed choice. Are you ready to take the next step? You can reach today's expert at the number on your screen. Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Recognizing the early signs of dementia can make a substantial difference in the care and support of loved ones. While memory loss is commonly associated with dementia, many other subtle symptoms often go unnoticed. Identifying these early warning signs allows for timely medical intervention, which may slow the progression and improve quality of life. Dementia symptoms can vary widely, affecting memory, cognitive function, and behavior. Early intervention helps manage symptoms and provides families with guidance on treatment options. Understanding these signs empowers caregivers and family members to support their loved ones more effectively.
